SGNC Public Relations

The Public Relations Committee has been established to spread information about the Sikh community to the local North Carolina population. In light of the events of September 11th, 2001, this role can not be underestimated.

The committee has printed brochures available that can be shared with the local population. We encourage members of our community to distribute these brochures to their co-workers and American friends.

The committee also has contacts with legal teams willing to help members of the Sikh community should they need legal assistance to combat discrimination at work or elsewhere.

We are also able to visit local area schools and other institutions to hold seminars or discussions to educate others about Sikh Faith.

Public Relations Committee encourages all members of the Sikh community to be effective representative of their own Faith and Guru by learning more about our own values and traditions and actively participating in local community activities as much as possible so that the Sikh image is fully visible to the people of North Carolina.
